1. Product Variation & Material Disclaimer

Please note that most of our products are handmade and feature unique finishes, shapes, textures, and natural imperfections. Each item is crafted from real wood and steel, meaning that no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Variations in colour, grain, size, and appearance are part of the character of our work and should be expected, especially when ordering multiple items. Dimensions may also vary slightly.

Due to the natural and reclaimed materials we use, along with the industrial style we specialise in, your wood may include the following characterful traits, which are standard and not grounds for refund or discount:
• Bandsaw marks across the grain
• Small ‘chip-out’ marks from the planer
• Knots, cracks, or shakes
• Minor machining marks
• Natural colour variation

We believe these natural features enhance the beauty and uniqueness of each piece. However, if you would prefer a cleaner, more refined finish (e.g., a flatter surface or minimal rustic detailing), please specify this when ordering. We are happy to provide a custom quote based on your specific needs.

We always aim to select the best boards available, though you may still see small knots, grain variation, or medullary rays depending on the timber in stock. Live edge items are especially variable, with each one having its own unique shape and level of character. While we do fill large cracks or knots, this may not apply to every item.

Please note: We do not accept returns, offer refunds, or make alterations due to customer preferences relating to wood grain, natural patterns, colour differences, or other inherent features of the material. Natural wood varies not only between boards, but sometimes even within the same board.

2. Environmental Factors & Wood Movement

All timber species can react to sunlight, humidity, and temperature changes. We cannot be held responsible for changes such as cracking, movement, or warping that occur after delivery due to your home environment. Our wood is dried to approximately 10% moisture content, but in extremely dry or humid conditions, this may change. Very dry air may cause cracks, while excessive moisture can cause warping or separation of joints.

Although we build with natural movement in mind, please read our Care Guide to ensure your furniture is maintained correctly for its environment.

Our furniture is not suitable for outdoor use or wet areas (e.g., bathrooms or wet rooms) unless specified.

3. Measurements, Tolerances & Custom Orders

We describe wood thicknesses and product dimensions as finished sizes. Due to the nature of sanding and working with solid wood, please allow a tolerance of ±25mm (or approx. 5%) on all dimensions, particularly height and depth.

If you require precise sizing (e.g., for fitting into an alcove), it’s essential to inform us when placing your order. We cannot take responsibility if an item does not fit and the exact dimensions were not requested in advance.

All our products can be made to measure, but unless stated otherwise, mm-level precision is not guaranteed. Some elements, such as bolts, nuts, or welds, may protrude slightly and should be accounted for in your planning.

Due to the nature of our finishing process, the final colour or texture may differ slightly from samples or online photos. While we do our best to match finishes as closely as possible, exact replication cannot be guaranteed.

4. Custom Designs & Customer Modifications

If you provide your own designs or drawings, we will do our best to produce the item to your specifications. However, we are not liable for issues relating to design functionality, stability, or movement unless we have produced a prototype or test piece as part of the process.

We reserve the right to charge additional fees for design alterations or unexpected production changes.

We cannot accept liability for any damage or malfunction resulting from customer modifications, such as attaching your own legs, fixtures, or fittings to our products.

We also cannot be held responsible for design preferences or expectations that are not clearly stated at the time of ordering. If in doubt, please ask questions or share reference images before placing your order.

5. Installation, Safety & Customer Responsibility

For safety, we recommend that all shelving, cabinets, and drawers be fixed to a wall. If you require pre-drilled holes or fixings, please let us know at the time of ordering.

Items left freestanding are done so at the customer's own risk.

If your item is to be attached to a wall, floor, or other surface, it is your responsibility to assess the suitability of the property, wall type, and condition before installation. We cannot be held liable for damage to your property during or after installation. For best results, we recommend using a qualified tradesperson.

Do not climb, lean, or hang on your furniture. Always place heavier items at the bottom of shelving units or storage pieces to avoid top-heaviness and potential tipping.

6. Order Cancellation & Returns (Etsy Policy Version)
Can I cancel my order after placing it?
If you'd like to cancel your order, please contact us. We will always try to help, but if production has already begun, we’re unable to cancel the order. All our products are made to order, so once work has started, cancellations are not accepted.

Can I return an item if I change my mind?
Returns may be accepted at our discretion. If approved, a 25% restocking fee will apply, and you will be responsible for all delivery or collection costs. Please contact us before sending any items back.

What’s your policy on sale or clearance items?
All sale and clearance items are non-returnable.
However, if you'd like to exchange a discounted item, we may allow this. You’ll need to:
• Cover the return shipping costs, and
• Provide a new shipping label for the replacement item.

Please note: No restocking fee is applied for exchanges, but all shipping costs must be arranged by the customer.
